HAROON AL ABDALI
What began as a boy dancing on cold concrete has become a career defined by discovery, reinvention, and fearless self-creation. Haroon Al Abdali is no longer just a specialist act — he’s a phenomenon engineered in public and refined on global stages, a performer whose story still moves with the same street-born electricity that started it all.
His break into global pop culture came soon after. Through Sillis, Haroon auditioned for Imagine Dragons and secured a starring role in their now-iconic “Thunder” music video, which has surged past 2.3 billion views. Shot across Dubai, Haroon danced on skyscrapers — including the top of the Burj Khalifa — under the direction of Grammy-winning giant Joseph Khan, whose credits span Britney, Eminem, Taylor Swift, Destiny’s Child and more. It was pop mythology in real time.
One day, that current shifted. FKA twigs — London’s own patron saint of the avant-garde — crossed paths with Haroon mid-show, alongside her choreographer Aaron Sillis. That encounter cracked open his world. Through Sillis’ agency, Haroon landed his first ever TV performance at the BRIT Awards, catapulting him from street cobblestones to arena lights.
Haroon Al Abdali is a world-class breaker, locker and popper whose journey started on the pavements of Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus. From Iraq and raised between worlds, he became a living testament to choosing creativity, art and expression against all odds. From 2012 onward, he busked seven days a week in every kind of London weather, building the stamina, confidence and electric showmanship that turned him into a street-forged phenomenon.
He was first discovered mid-performance by FKA twigs and choreographer Aaron Sillis, leading to his breakthrough TV debut at the 2015 BRIT Awards. Soon after, legendary Italian choreographer Giuliano Peparini spotted him on the street and flew him to Italy for a month of performances on Amici. Haroon later became a featured performer in Imagine Dragons’ “Thunder,” dancing across Dubai — even on top of the Burj Khalifa — under Grammy-winning director Joseph Khan. The video now sits at over 2.3 billion views.
His momentum carried him through global commercials, Pineapple Studios, Romanian superstar Delia’s music video and tour, and a string of high-impact creative collaborations across London’s luxury nightlife scene — including The Box, the Hippodrome Casino, and multiple seasons at Park Chinois. His work eventually reached the Seychelles, where he performed twice to standing ovations.
Today, Haroon is a staple across elite venues like Nobu, The MAINE Mayfair, Park Row, Gaucho, Cirque Le Soir and The Conduit Club. From Iraq to London’s most iconic stages, Haroon Al Abdali stands as a symbol of radical self-expression — proof that art can be a way out, a way through, and a way to transform the world around you.
