He made his professional debut as ensemble and understudy Simba in the first UK Tour of Disney’s The Lion King, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry. David’s diverse repertoire includes notable roles in productions such as Bare at Greenwich Theatre, Porgy And Bess at Regents Park, and Love Story at the Union Theatre.
However, it was his portrayal of the iconic Bob Marley in the West End musical Get Up Stand Up that truly showcased his versatility and talent. David’s ability to inhabit the role of the legendary musician captivated audiences and solidified his status as a formidable performer.
In addition to his stage work, David has graced the screen in productions like Exposure at the Other Palace and Committee at the Donmar Warehouse. Most recently, he took on the role of Smokey Robinson in Motown The Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre, further demonstrating his range as an actor and vocalist.
Beyond his theatrical endeavours, David is a prominent figure in London’s live music scene, known for his captivating performances with his band, Jungle Boogie. Formed alongside Portia Emare, Jungle Boogie has garnered widespread acclaim, with sold-out performances at prestigious events such as the Wilderness Festival.
With a repertoire spanning big band, soul, disco, and funk, David brings a dynamic energy to every stage he graces.
